Most people come to therapy because something in their life isn’t working anymore—they’re in pain and desperate for real change. You want to feel better, to find hope again, and to move forward in a meaningful way. Change brings hope. With 14 years of experience as a therapist—and as someone who’s been in therapy myself—I understand what it’s like to sit in that chair. I’ve been with therapists who were kind and compassionate, yet I still felt stuck in my own pain. That experience shaped how I approach therapy. My goal is to help you find a way out, not just to feel understood. I strive to balance acceptance with growth.
I have worked with survivors of sexual assault, self harm, addiction, acute mental illness, and family/relationship issues. I am EMDR certified, trauma-informed, and highly trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which means I use evidence-based techniques that support deep emotional healing, self-regulation, and long-term change.
Marsha Linehan, the founder of DBT, shared “what is important is that you experience your life as worth living—one that is satisfying, and one that brings happiness.” If you are ready to get help in a trauma-informed, compassionate, and lasting way, I am here for you! -Laura Jones, LCSW
